Harold Bruyns’ life takes an unexpected turn when he’s fired from the bank on the day of his promotion. Banned from the financial world, he reflects on the carefree days of his childhood spent on a farm with his grandfather. With a new determination, Harold takes a leap of faith and decides to farm with sheep in the heart of one of Joburg's suburbs. At first glance, one wouldn't think John Carpenter's cult classic would be a thematic double-billing - or that Free Guy would be worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence as They Live - but the two films of vastly different genres have more similarities upon further examination.
By undermining the appeal and credibility of black characters, the show compromises the very idea of diversity and representation it sets to promote.

Eventually, “Hobbs and Shaw” introduces us to a Samoan community. Clearly, Johnson’s Samoan roots are on display. Quite frankly, I found this section of the film very intriguing. The “Fast and Furious” franchise has a solid track record in the diversity department
An aspect of She-Ra that I find refreshing is even though a large portion of the cast is on the LGBTQ+ Spectrum, being gay is never mentioned. While this might initially sound like a negative thing, in the show’s land of Etheria being on the gay spectrum is shown to be so common and normalized that straight isn’t the default. As much as there is to appreciate about narratives revolving around the obstacles that may come from being non-heteronormative, it’s nice to get immersed in a world where no one bats an eye at all to any sort of differing identity.
