Lionel, a 20-something year old working at a dead-end post office job, is searching for a greater purpose and sense of direction in his life. But, on a particularly slow day at the post office where he (and his flippant co-worker Gertrude) works, his day-to-day routine is disrupted by petty arguments and petty theft.
