This erotic film is a modern take on the Aladdin's Lamp fairy tale. An antiques dealer, Jon Dough, finds an old lamp and while polishing it, out pops the genie, played by the lovely Heather Hart. His wish is to find his Miss Right and, no surprise here, he gets to have sex with beautiful women in this quest. Heather is more than a genie granting wishes and at the end we see that she also has her own agenda.
Yes, "Nope" is definitely about the modern obsession with turning tragedy and horror into a spectacle for people’s enjoyment. But it's also about the power of looking, who has the right to look, and what happens to those who are looked upon.

In all honesty, “Black and Blue” is a satisfying experience, complete with solid craftsmanship. With the help of cinematographer Dante Spinotti, Deon Taylor (the director) creates a murky, lived in atmosphere.
The film exhibits a respect for the craft and an empathy for human tribulations that have historically been ignored.
