A female Neuroscience Researcher develops a rare form of melophobia after receiving an unsolicited portable media player loaded with music for testing in her laboratory and experiencing a musical Stendhal Syndrome. I came across Urchin by chance and decided to watch it because of the title. It made me think of the spiky animal that lives at the bottom of the ocean, and the old Dickensian novels, where an urchin was an orphaned, homeless child in shaggy and dirty clothes.

Earth and Blood is slow, but it still has it’s entertaining moments. If you’re into thrillers, or want to watch something new, then this film might be for you. As for me, Earth and Blood was tolerable enough.
