The Sex Deviates begins with anonymous shots of New York City, leading to the common porn establishing shot of the exterior of an apartment building, zooming in suggestively on one window. We soon find out there is a host for this impending smut adventure. Elliot Forbes (Adam Trash), "researcher in the field of medical science," is every bit the bespectacled, constrained commentator you have seen before. Elliot introduces the first segment of this hour-long opus, which consists of three sexual "vignettes" starring Biafra Bayne and Tracie Hayes. Ben Affleck leads The Way Back, a seemingly cathartic film for him after the actor’s recent bouts with alcoholism and rehab. He plays Jack, a man fighting his own battles who happens upon coaching a boys’ basketball team, the same team he once played for back in high school.
Do not trust Rotten Tomatoes. That is what I learned after watching Eternals. Critics currently rate it a 48%, but it's an amazing character-focused Marvel movie with positive diverse representation.
This is a movie that combines a ghost story, revenge tale, and serial killer obsession into a cinematic experience that uses your fears against you.
