Sailor Dius, a powerful superheroine who protects a young boy named Akira from the monsters of the Night Empire. During a battle, a female villain named Lascaux hits Sailor Dius with a special slime curse. The curse triggers body changes when she feels strong emotions, leading to a "bad end" scenario.
America is the crux of the storyline: she is the only person in existence with the power to jump between universes. As central as America is to the Multiverse of Madness story, she somehow didn’t get that much to do.
This is a movie that combines a ghost story, revenge tale, and serial killer obsession into a cinematic experience that uses your fears against you.
In a film where a Black couple is framed to be the lead characters, they still managed to get shuffled off to the sidelines. The enthusiastic cast delivers well on goofy bits- but can only go so far before they begin to fall flat.
