The First Smoke 

A group of friends decides to drink at home before going to an expensive venue, trying a mysterious substance called "green" introduced by one of them. Initially hesitant, the protagonist becomes addicted to it over time and grows distant from his friends. Just as he's about to reconcile with them, he relapses into using "green," causing his friends to abandon him. In the end, he turns to more dangerous substances and tragically dies from an overdose.
