Sonic the Hedgehog 2 has been Unleashed
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 serves as a successful, smashing sequel to the previous movie. Like in the previous film, this movie combines 3D animated characters and elements in our universe and brings back epic stunts that viewers are dying to see. Favorite characters return, with awesome new superpowers they gain to try to save the civilians and the world from danger and destruction.
This article will discuss some of the elements found within the film that are related to the popular video game series.
For one, viewers can distinguish popular video game elements found in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 that connect this sequel to the previous movie. The rings and the Chaos Emeralds are key elements found in the film that comply with the main plot. Doctor Eggman (Jim Carrey), Sonic the Hedgehog's (Ben Schwartz) archenemy, is seen in his live-action form with key details that parallel his animated form. His goal is to find the Master Emerald and get his revenge on Sonic, which serves as a continuity from the previous film.
The Chaos Emeralds are seen in real life; their signature diamond shape and green color are seen multiple times in the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie, as they symbolize the ultimate power. Doctor Eggman obtains the Chaos Emeralds to take over the universe; the Chaos Emeralds form the Master Emerald when all seven of them are put together. Sonic and Tails (Colleen O'Shaughnessey) need to stop him.
Sonic the Hedgehog, Tails, and Knuckles (Idris Elba) return in their 3D animated forms in our universe. Their superpowers coordinate with their signature colors, as presented in the film.
There is some representation of African American actors in the movie. Idris Elba, the guy who voices Knuckles, is of African American descent. In the live-action cast, Natasha Rothwell, Shemar Moore, and Tika Sumpter are also Black actors. All of these actors bring some diversity in our universe.
Overall, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is considered a smashing sequel that brings action, adventure, and popular video game elements to fans of the series.
