Florio and Jesse have lived together as lovers for over 45 years. Florio has expressed a desire to get married when same sex marriage was legalized, but Jesse has held firm to his decision never to get married. His mind changes when the law does, and he proposes. A small, glittering wedding follows. In their married life they will, of course, face the changes that come with old age, but they will do so as a committed couple. Entering marriage in their 80’s is a testament to hope, a statement, and perhaps a brave act of lunacy, but done with courage and love.

Two Distant Strangers (2020) centers around Carter James (Joey Bada$$) as he tries to get back home to his pitbull, Jeter, after spending a night at the apartment of his date Perri (Zaria Simone). What gets in the way of Carter reuniting with his dog is that every time he tries to leave Perri’s apartment, he is killed by police and wakes up back in her bed in a never-ending cycle. It addresses the issue of police brutality which rightly has been in the public eye more and more with the unjust deaths caused at the hands of law enforcement.
The Heart Behind GOAT(2026)
GOAT (2026) opens to the chanting of a crowd: "Roots run deep!" The rest of the film goes on to echo that sentiment, offering gorgeous animation and a heartfelt story along the way.
