The path of Shah Ismail from childhood to kingship! The story is built around the young Ismail, who is hidden under the protection of Karkiya Mirza after his father and brothers are killed, focusing on his struggle for survival and the subtle games he plays with the spies of the Aq Qoyunlu sultan who are hunting him down. Throughout the film, it is shown how young Ismail survives this life-and-death ordeal, grows stronger, and prepares himself for his future revenge.

All in all, “Event Horizon” is a cinematic misfire, begging to be perfected in the future. While it possesses an array of admirable visuals, the film leaves much to be desired. If only we could see Anderson’s preferred cut, which featured more character development and tortuous imagery. In the meantime, I have a catchphrase for this film: In space no one can hear you snore.
