When Bauer has a seizure in front of the journalists, it quickly becomes clear: the minister has been the victim of a targeted attack. In the course of the investigation, Helen becomes involved in a highly explosive plot, behind which a war for the dominance of future genetic research and its ethical limits is unfolding.
