Not So ‘Brand New’ Cherry Flavor
The fun tricks used in the production design and lighting read extremely well on-screen but hardly fulfill their purpose of trying to inject glamour into a lack-luster story with nothing to say.

Kaoru, who works at a cross-dressing cafe, is suddenly left without a place to live when his fiancé, Hayashitaro, who shows no understanding of Kaoru's hobby, announces that he wants to end their cohabitation. With no money and nowhere to go, Kaoru is saved by a shared house introduced to her by her colleague, Ruri. There she finds out that Yasumichi is living there, having escaped from his wife's constraints that "men should be strong." The two awkwardly begin to grow closer. (R15+ version premiered at the OP PICTURES+ Festival 2025).
