Mortal Kombat: Scorpion’s Revenge Gives Fans a Gory Good Time
Ever since the mid-’90s, the Mortal Kombat game franchise has seen multiple attempts to make it on the big screen, or at least adapted into other media.

Somebody killed the babysitter! Oh wait, that's a different film. This movie is all about getting caught bangin' the babysitter, which we just assumed is as common as morning coffee. If all babysitters were as cute and sexy as the ones displayed in this film, we don't think any actual babysittin' would ever take place.

One of the reasons I love watching movies is that, much like books, they serve as windows into other times and different places. Productions from around the world offer valuable insights into the history and culture of their respective countries. And just like literature, cinema can help us understand the present by showing us the past.
Disney has hopefully learned some lessons since 1994. Are those lessons reflected in the 2019 remake of "The Lion King?"
