The film tells the love story between Neşe, a conservatory student, and Kemal, a famous writer known for his crime novels. Neşe lives in a boarding house with a family and members of a music group. Every morning when Neşe wakes up, she catches the eye of Kemal, who lives in the apartment across from hers. The musicians staying at the boarding house where Neşe lives will be fired from the nightclub where they work if they cannot find a soloist. They ask Neşe to be their soloist. The musicians' ability to marry their lovers depends on Neşe accepting their offer. Neşe, who has started singing, is also making preparations to marry Kemal.
