Davida McKenzie is a blossoming young actress from Aotearoa, New Zealand. Davida has been acting from as early on as 9 years old and was brought up in a multi generational creative Kiwi family. She has worked with directors such as Taika Waititi, Jane Campion, James Ashcroft and has collaborated with actors such as Kiera Knightley, Jenna Ortega, Lily Rose-Depp and Joseph Zada. She is known for her roles in films such as Leviticus (2026), Klara & The Sun (2026), Silent Night (2021) and The Speedway Murders (2024).
Adrian Chiarella’s Leviticus is a beautiful, poignant, enraging, gut-wrenching, and heartbreaking film about the trauma and harm conversion therapy inflicts on young queer people. Even though its classification as horror holds, the emotional bond between the two main characters, Naim and Ryan, elevates the story into a realistic romantic drama on par with Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Like most young people, Leviticus is imperfect. But I love it anyways.
