Surface Level "People We Meet on Vacation" is Still a Fun Time
Unfortunately, People We Meet on Vacation didn’t hold up quite as well as I’d hoped.

Vacation in Mauritius! Frank Kowalski simply treats himself to one with his wife Sandy and son Jochen. When the Ossi happens to save the blasé Renate von Zangenheim from a purse snatcher, her husband Hubertus wants to return the favor with a dinner. But the subsequent trip on the Protzwessis' yacht ends fatally in a fiasco. Shipwrecked, both families end up stranded on an uninhabited island...

If “Good Time” was a lean exercise in suspense, “Uncut Gems” is an ongoing panic attack. It handcuffs us to an immoral man, made up of selfishness and unreliability. At every point, Adam Sandler connects himself to this idiotic soul, unearthing the misguided opportunism that comes with gambling addiction
