Death is a weird but likable guy loving art and a good sip of wine. He is very conscientious concerning his work, following "the plan" strictly. One day he finds himself next to a frozen lake, where there is a young woman, Leonie, figure skating. As he realizes that she is going to fall into the ice, he shouts her name and saves her life. He now has to figure out how to deal with it and goes to the bar to convince his friend Tom to help him.
