When Harry Met Sally... (1989)

Director Brett Haley’s People We Meet On Vacation, released on Netflix in early January of this year, but is, without a doubt, the perfect film to watch during the summertime. The vibrant colors, gorgeous sceneries, and the fun, exciting atmosphere that this film carries makes everything feel just a little bit brighter when watching it. As the rom-com universe has been itching for another heart-warming creation like the very famous, When Harry Met Sally, many were ecstatic at the news of Emily Henry’s most popular novel, People We Meet On Vacation, coming to life on our screens. Henry is known for writing romantic heterosexual stories that mainly capture the hearts of young female readers, as well as those who live and breathe for a good rom-com. The author has consistently failed to disappoint her loyal fanbase, but with the immense appreciation for the film adaptation of her beloved novel, also brought an unfortunate amount of conflicting opinions.

So. You’ve been quarantined. For many of us in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak, we find ourselves locked in our houses, with not much to do. We can’t report to our jobs, or our jobs are being done remotely, or our ability to work is vastly restricted. And with all of this free time we have on our hands now, this is the perfect time to catch up on all of those movies we’ve been continuously putting off for a “rainy day.” Well folks, it’s pouring outside, so let’s watch some movies!

These picks are all based on my own subjective opinion, but I’ve compiled a list of different films of different genres across Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Go, and Hulu that I think everyone should watch. If you’ve already seen them, watch them again! These are the movies that, in my opinion, can’t steer you wrong.
