When the beautiful dentist's daughter Brigitte wants to get married, her widowed father Dr. Robert Stegemann hears alarm bells ringing. The future husband, the father is certain, will destroy the harmonious father-daughter relationship. Besides, he surely has nothing but bad intentions! To save what can be saved, Stegemann tries everything to discredit his future son-in-law. However, he does not succeed, as Robert, the name of his daughter's beloved, behaves in an exemplary manner and withstands the jealous attacks of his father-in-law, who fears for his only daughter.
