“Dangerous Lies” is as Predictable as Can be

Beginning in 1979 and continuing for a full two decades, Perry charted a progression of successes and setbacks by farmworker organizers and community activists in their fights with wealthy landowners and the local political establishment.

I didn’t love Expecting Amy, the mini-series following Amy Schumer’s pregnancy, but it brought up a lot of great unspoken side-effects of working and growing a human in America.

Halle's belting, crystal clear notes, and warm tone infused something into this blockbuster that I thoroughly enjoy.
Even now, the well-established Snyder has yet to learn this as he continues to allow misguided decisions to convince him that his projects hold the same kind of intelligent and emotional weight. Army of the Dead is a tonal mess, one that never decides what it’s trying to be, and, for all we know, doesn’t want to decide.
