Director Dana Ziyasheva made her directorial debut, 'Defenders of Life' which focuses on the Ngäbe community, and the hardships Ngäbe girls faced in Costa Rica.

Under Observation is a visual essay built from recordings captured by computer webcams in retail stores. As fragments of everyday passersby accumulate, a digital wall of surveillance emerges—silent, persistent, and strangely familiar. The work invites us to reflect on visibility, routine, and the subtle architectures of control within contemporary spaces.

The major flaw of the series is that it’s hosted on Netflix and barely makes malicious comments about it despite being focused on the lives of people directly affected by the Capitalist mentality of the OTT corporation.
Where we leave the characters is in such a peaceful and optimistic place. It feels well-earned to ensure everyone gets their own specially-crafted happy ending.
