Khalif is a young man who often spends his time having fun and indulging with his friends. Khalif also has no stable job because of his overly selective attitude towards work. This attitude is what makes both his parents, Pak Akob and Mak Nah, very disappointed with Khalif. Especially Pak Akob, who is already elderly but still works hard to support their family. Pak Akob works as a hearse van driver and is well-liked by many people. Through this job, he supports his family's livelihood. However, Khalif is ashamed of his father's profession. It is only after his father passes away that awareness begins to awaken within him, as he is forced to run his father's business.
