Extinct (2021): Fresh Donuts, Half Baked Morals
The plot lags, the moral lessons are misguided, but are those fluffy little donut creatures adorable? Yes. Yes, they are.

A group of people enter an old movie studio and are suddenly confronted with a variety of strange phenoma. Among other things they are transported through time and the building is surrounded by a deadly acid fog . The filmmakers also throw Roman centurions, alien spaceships and giant killer roaches at the hapless explorers, decimating the groups one by one.

'Pariah' tells a powerful, mesmerizing, and unflinchingly honest story of identity.
Few movies deal with aging (particularly aging women) with as much compassion as Relic does. Yet it’s not sickly sweet and not a soapbox rant against ageism. Relic simply is, allowing the horror to seep in quietly and carefully.
Presenting a bold and unapologetic narrative focused on strong Muslim female characters, the show beautifully incorporates punk rock as a feminist movement in their lives.
This is ambitious horror filmmaking, and in a lot of ways, I fully admire its ambitions. For me, the film’s sloppiness defines its overall quality.
