The makings of a great midseason filler episode that would connect in many different directions. This is a police drama filler with a guest director.
"THANK YOU, Zach Creggar!" Back in 2022, this now established star in the horror film genre gave us the quirkily creepy, unexpectedly funny (at times!) cinematic gem that was "Barbarian". Shadow & Bone excels in natural story representation with powerful centering of culture. Jessie Mei Li stars as Alina Starkov, the feisty cartographer with kindness, innocence, and integrity, who comes to be revealed as the legendary summoner of light.
Kate Winslet and Saorise Ronan deliver stellar performances in a film that doesn't live up to its potential.
Emily and Stephanie are back... just add gin and drama.
