Trans Allegories in Film: 'Nimona' (2023)
Animation as a medium of storytelling can be thought to be open to all ages and as I hope my reading will reveal, 'Nimona' could be interpreted as a transgender story.

The Master Demon: Centuries ago, a demonic fury is pitted against a white warrior in an epic battle with mankind in the balance. The fatally wounded white warrior severs the Demon's hand and takes it to a Shaolin Temple to prevent the Demon from ever becoming whole again. Both a horrid nightmare and a deadly omen for martial arts master Tong Lee in the present day.
