Chad Conners is a work in progress. He lives in a dorm, he has roommates, he reads straight magazines, and jerks off to chicks. But in the back of his mind, he longs for something else. And when he sees two guys stroking it in the gym, he realizes what he has been missing.
Seeing that the film was essentially his first big, mainstream feature, and with garnering a leading role — portraying the revolutionary ball-player Jackie Robinson — Boseman, without question, delivered a performance that is still so incredibly moving, respectful, genuine, and true to the core of his obviously sincere, artistic heart; and with that, it is indeed so saddening to see him pass.
"Be good. It doesn’t mean you can’t be tough. It doesn’t mean you always have to be nice. Just be good."
As a musical fan, I enjoyed the film and encourage anyone who likes dark humour and a bit of blood to give it a watch.
