The Book of Job is about a high school student who has trouble separating reality from fiction. Young Job falls "madly in love" with a new girl who catches his eye one Sunday mass. In the midst of his conforming to what he believes to be her idealized standards, he realizes his life is about so much more than simply himself.
“Synchronic” is special, but it doesn’t succeed in achieving all the objectives it aims for. The film is a science fiction oeuvre which tries to be cerebral at some points, although the original idea is interesting, it only accomplishes to talk about some serious matters superficially.
Given a choice between a man and a mountain, it’s safer to choose the mountain.
Like Fourth of July fireworks, the film Honey Don’t is colorful and fun to look at, delivering many bangs (sex and guns!) for your buck before quietly fading out.
Overall, 18 Presents feels more like a soap opera than a drama, and I feel bad for saying that since the concept is based off a tragic story (even though it’s loosely). I’m sure other people will find this film emotional for them, but as for me, it’s bland and forgettable.
