"Taikun" tells the story of two men named Tai and Kun, best friends whose only loves in life are fighting and thievery. When their vices lead them to bump into and severely beat up gang members Pink and Purple, Tai and Kun are then recruited by the gang leader, who is in awe of their skills. Will Tai and Kun accept the offer? Is it the life that they really want?

Dead Poets Society relies on patriarchal tropes such as overbearing fathers, contrived brotherhood, and faux-individuality in order to portray its straight white male characters as oppressed.
Overall, The Shining is a great film to watch for its atmosphere and setting. While the characters’ portrayals could’ve been more accurate to the book, they’re all still memorable nonetheless.
The original series is now on Netflix, you should definitely give it a watch. And if you’ve already seen it, watch it again.

All in all, “Event Horizon” is a cinematic misfire, begging to be perfected in the future. While it possesses an array of admirable visuals, the film leaves much to be desired. If only we could see Anderson’s preferred cut, which featured more character development and tortuous imagery. In the meantime, I have a catchphrase for this film: In space no one can hear you snore.
