It's a bleak day at the gym and there's only one attendee, which makes the job all that much more boring for the clerks Ricky and Abella. Miss Danger is feeling extremely antsy, and decides to turn her attention to Ricky, because why not? Ricky tries to remain professional as Abella hand's, lips, and hips wander. Teasing him right in front of the client! Fuck it, may as well get laid on the clock, right? Hopefully this civilian will be none-the-wiser pumping up their delts.
In all honesty, “Black and Blue” is a satisfying experience, complete with solid craftsmanship. With the help of cinematographer Dante Spinotti, Deon Taylor (the director) creates a murky, lived in atmosphere.

The assassins in Bullet Train are quirky, deadly, and diverse. Yet, they all seem to be some type of caricature. While the movie is fun and action-packed, it’s also packed with stereotypes that don’t make for the best representation.

In, 15 far-too-short minutes, viewers are given a detailed snapshot of what it's like for a refugee to drown in the waters of poverty and otherness while trying to navigate a land whose promise has worn off, and only 'strange' remains.

It’s no wonder Peele won an academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. His script is layered with perspective and subtlety. Through a terrific vision, Peele creates the gift that keeps on giving. The clues and symbolic representations are aplenty, and as each viewing passes, you are destined to find something new. That’s a mark of great cinema.
