‘Lyle’, Cool Concept, Poor Execution.
The idea of Rosemary's baby but with lesbian partners drew me in, and I was anticipating what the film had in store with its reimagining. Unfortunately, it all felt a little too vague to leave an impact.

A mysterious young woman appears in the woods and crosses paths with a succession of local figures, including a traveling photographer, a lonely old man, a reckless young punk, and two local policemen. As these encounters ripple through the community, they unearth old local myths, unexpressed traumas, and the hidden, shadowed histories of the residents.

The Sandman features a plethora of LGBTQ+ characters and is openly expressive about it!
We are incredibly blessed that this movie is available for us to see, and we should take advantage of the opportunity we’ve been given.
The film is a simple love story reminiscent of stories like The Notebook released in 2004. Sylvie and Robert are rarely actually together in the film, however; time and circumstance keep them away from each other, and the audience waits with bated breath to see them find one another over and over.
Clocking in at about four hours, Stranger Things season 4 volume 2 is the length of a double feature. Despite the length and the hype, the finale still falls short of expectations thanks to poor pacing, poor character choices, and poor diverse storytelling.
Netflix's Afterlife of the Party might fall into the rom-com genre, but it's much more about grief, strong female friendships, and platonic love than it is about romance.
