It wasn't until his elderly father, Ah Dong (played by Peng Yi), began frequently going in and out of the hospital that most of his income had to be spent on his father's medical expenses, prompting him to gradually quit gambling. However, watching his father suffer from illness and dealing with the pressure from his wife, Qiu Rong (played by Huang Jiefei), Ah Quan decided to take a gamble once more, hoping for a turnaround. Unfortunately, on the same day, his father's life came to an end, leaving Ah Quan torn between using his father's funeral savings and his hopes of hitting the jackpot.
