His father, known as Zé, recovered from alcoholism and found salvation in the evangelical church. His greatest asset is his certainties and teachings based on the Bible, principles that he tried to follow blindly and pass on, in his own way, to his family. A Fine Line reports deep contrasts between Ruth and the pain of being a woman.
