In 2009, when HD cameras weren't yet easily accessible and we weren't yet experiencing the social media craze, the band was watching the Metallica video recorded in a US prison at the end of one of their rehearsals. At that moment, the question arose: How would this be in Paraguay? This is how the idea of holding a concert in the Tacumbu penitentiary was born. It took place on August 13, 2009 and this is the video of the concert held in one of the most dangerous prisons in South America.

This is a movie that combines a ghost story, revenge tale, and serial killer obsession into a cinematic experience that uses your fears against you.
Ultra-violent storytelling has never been my thing, but the issues with Scarface go beyond that. The film perpetuates harmful stereotypes about Latinx immigrants and uses gore and misogyny for shock value that never serves any purpose. The whole venture is frustratingly empty, and left me desiring something more.

Ultimately the problem with The Bubble is that it plays everything for laughs to get around the audience’s defenses. But it comes off like a privileged white male thinking that ridiculing everyone else equally is the road to equality. And it’s not. And it's definitely not funny to pretend that it is.
