Set in the early 1990s in Almaty, the film follows Sayan, a promising young boxer who decides to punch his way into a better life by joining a local criminal gang. As he climbs the ranks of the underworld, he quickly learns that the path of a racketeer comes with a heavy price, and some choices can never be undone. A gritty, first-person account of ambition, loyalty, and the inevitable reckoning in a lawless era.

GOAT (2026) opens to the chanting of a crowd: "Roots run deep!" The rest of the film goes on to echo that sentiment, offering gorgeous animation and a heartfelt story along the way.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie comes on the heels of its billion-dollar grossing predecessor, and seeks to do absolutely nothing other than repeat its success. In this, the film is eminently effective. If you have seen the previous film, you can expect something extremely similar in this package. That is, a barrage of references to Nintendo intellectual property wrapped in a plot that provides the thinnest layer of emotional payoff for the characters.
