An unidentified airship crashed in a peaceful little Porong Porong forest. Pororo and his friends find a little dinosaur 'Alo', which sleeps in an egg-shaped airship that crashed in the forest. When they opened the lid of the airship, the little dinosaur ‘Alo’ awakened. But he can not remember anything other than his own name. Eddy repairs the airship that Alo rides on, and as soon as he powers on, the airships that start working swallow Crong and Alo and disappear from the sky. Can Pororo and his friends save their friends and dinosaurs and go back to home?
My Beautiful Laundrette is often referenced as a positive LGBTQIA+ film because our two main characters are in a homosexual relationship with no shame, fear of violence or criticism. The struggle is not their sexuality. It is the treatment of the Pakistani citizens in England.
Battles will come and go and queer people do die for their identity and fights for rights, but that doesn’t mean the gays don’t deserve their happy endings in stories.
It only seems to prove that when the company had their backs against the wall and needed an all pleasing, generic movie that had to make up for The Last Jedi, they chose to sacrifice almost everything that made their main protagonist interesting and that made her stand out as the strong female character that a generation of young movie goers was supposed to look up to. Instead, we were left with a Rey that was so much less than she could have been. And I guess that’s the real story of Rey and The Rise of Skywalker; they could have been so much more, but they were just more of the same.
'The Lovebirds' is one of those movies that has a very direct appeal when it comes to its comedy. There isn’t a singular style, so much as tidbits of various ones here and there.
Those saying it's a bad movie simply because it's bad as a slasher should be reminded that the likes of Jordan and Alexandra often don’t get their tales told, let alone in such major releases helmed by veteran actors like Bacon.
