The judiciary needs a culprit, the city needs illusory security. A few days after the murder, Aldo is arrested. His crime is his past as a heroin addict, which is well known to the police, who accuse him on the basis of flimsy and specious evidence. Aldo, who is innocent, spends six months in solitary confinement before taking his own life.
