Structured in chapters, the film moves from the aftermath of the 1967 war to mass demonstrations and training grounds, where men, women, and children practice survival and resistance. The camera’s proximity, switching between black-and-white and colour, treats cinema as witness, archive, and rallying cry.
There is a lot of controversy around Q-force. It’s certainly not hard to see why—the series is quite hyperbolic. I will say, that was the first aspect I noticed on my initial watch. Right from the get-go Q-Force barrages you with gay joke after gay joke. This is hit or miss throughout the series.
Those perfect Summer or Fall days. The sun is shining, the temperature is JUST right, and you've got nothing else to do. Therefore, isn't it time to get outside and take a nice stroll through the park, or along the shoreline (should you be that fortunate), or even just around the neighborhood? Sure. 'Don't Make Me Go' is what you would expect, Wally and her father, Max, clash tremendously and don't understand each other. Although, it's very heartwarming.
This little Netflix film was very inspirational. It passes the Bechdel test, and features a different worldview with rural Indian representation.
