The story unfolds in the turbulent period in the history of Japan, where two imperial courts exist. Along the way Masatsura meets Ben no Naishi and the two fall in love. The full-blown cherry blossom season arrives, and with a decisive battle looming Masatsura wonders what he is fighting for.
