An Austrian Jewish teenager exiled with his family to a village in the Vicentine Alps wins over the locals, and even the podestà’s sons, by sharing his forbidden love of jazz and joining the town band. After the German occupation following September 8, they flee with the community’s help, linking up with partisans who guide them safely across the Swiss border. Loosely based on jazzman Oscar Klein’s 1944 escape.

Those perfect Summer or Fall days. The sun is shining, the temperature is JUST right, and you've got nothing else to do. This fantasy musical movie is an origin story about the title character.
Overall, “Dark Fate” is a run-of-the-mill flick. Together, Reyes and Davis have excellent chemistry, but their characters’ story is nothing new, lacking surprise and deep emotion. During the middle points, the film drags considerably, and when the action hits, it feels consistently tight, eliminating the rhythm and fluidity of conflicts.
