His relationship with his 14-year-old daughter Marie has also suffered enormously as a result. She blames him for her parents' separation. To make matters worse, his 78-year-old mother Hilde has also become a "problem" for some time now, showing undeniable signs of Alzheimer's disease. She is due to move into a retirement home this weekend. Now, of all times, the most important job of his life is in danger of being canceled due to a technical problem in the office.
