Morgen, ihr Luschen! Der Ausbilder-Schmidt-Film

Even though this week, both Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany were teasing a “huge cameo” in the show, I didn’t expect it to come so soon, let alone the fifth episode. What I didn’t expect was for me to jump from my bed and scream so loud my room shook — talk about wild!

The fourth episode of the series, “We Interrupt this Program,” created a pivotal shift for the show. Rather than only focusing on the suburban sitcom world, viewers finally get an outside perspective with the help of Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), Jimmy Woo (Randall Park), and fan-favorite Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings). And, in this fifth episode, time is split between the two realities.

“On a Very Special Episode…” viewers are automatically thrown into the sitcom world — this time, in the 80s. As usual, the miniseries pays homage to the classics of each period. This time, it’s the American sitcomFamily Ties. The opening credits of this episode was brilliant, especially with baby Vision looking so out of place. However, the intro also made me a little uneasy. Knowing that the entire town is being held captive (most likely under Wanda’s control), and realizing Vision has no idea what is going on produces an eerie feeling.

About a year ago, Amazon Prime released Uncle Frank, and I do not believe it has been talked about enough considering how much time we have all had to watch movies.

Set in the 1970s, Frank Bledsoe (Paul Bettany) encourages his niece Beth (Sophia Lillis) to get out of their small hometown and see how big the world can be when it’s time for her to go to college. When Beth arrives in NYC she begins to discover herself and how different love can be from what she expected. It is clear through the beginning of the film that Beth’s Uncle Frank has to hide his sexuality from his unaccepting family and finds it hard to come out to Beth in fear that she won’t accept him. When Beth finds out unexpectedly, she is accepting and curious to know more about what being queer entails. However, early on, this film makes a point to not center the story around Beth, but around Frank. This is a coming-out story, but also quite a coming-of-age story.

Like millions globally,Marvel Studioswas forced to delay their schedules due to the pandemic; thus, 2020 was a rather dry year for the entertainment company.

However, as of today, Marvel super-fans are no longer suffering — their hunger for new content is over.

On January 15, Disney+ released a two-episode premiere of the Marvel spinoff seriesWandaVision. The series follows newlywed superheroes Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) as they navigate an idealistic suburban lifestyle. As they travel through the decades, the pair begin to speculate that things are not as they seem.
