Michio Enomoto (Tappei Aono) is a painter who has never achieved success with his works, making his living instead of a part-time job collecting garbage. Yet, he was satisfied with such a life. One day, he meets with Sachi Tomita (Makoto Tanaka), a woman who says that she likes Michio's paintings, and the two of them begin dating. These happy days inspire him to dream of success as a painter, but his paintings fail to sell. Feeling frustrated, Michio goes to work and happens to discover an abstract painting that is completely different from his own style being thrown away while collecting garbage.
