A story about Claire a single mom and a career woman. She is aware that her son is gay and accepts this wholeheartedly. What breaks her heart, though, is finding out that they are both in love with the same man.
Carolina Caroline follows Caroline (Samara Weaving), a bored young woman dreaming of escaping a small Texas town where nothing ever happens. When she meets Oliver (Kyle Gallner) at her workplace while he is conning the owner, she sees her perfect opportunity to get out. Their whirlwind romance strongly echoes Bonnie and Clyde, as the two quickly embark on a bank-robbing spree.
The film basically says she was a lost cause from the start. We don't get a sense of who Marilyn was.
