Malaso Madagasikara is based on the true incidents the Dahalo have been causing in Southern Madagascar. They are groups of armed cattle rustlers who use to attack villagers. They are also believed to master black magic. Thousands of zebus have been stolen and dozens of villagers have been killed. Hundreds of villagers have been displaced because eventhough the Malagasy government has sent the army to stop them they still haven't been stopped.
