Heartbroken & unable to leave her apartment for weeks, post gut wrenching break up; Alexi is obsessed with getting her ex to return her phone calls & uses delivery boys as spirit guides to get back to herself & out of her house. An obsessive, voyeuristic, codependent, meditation on the end of a relationship.
I highly recommend Dark Waters. It’s a highly engrossing picture, which lends itself to cautionary storytelling. The dark information continually grows, inspiring change and accountability altogether. Overall, Haynes’ picture will not be known for its inclusiveness--but it will be known for being a fantastic, engrossing film.
On top of the phenomenal acting, and great dialogue between the two characters, the cinematography was ravishing! The sound was outstanding! The production design was simple, yet intrinsic. The minimalistic approach in the Malibu beach house represented how little they really have going on in their relationship. The storyline may have been much simpler than "Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf," but all the more insightful, and much more animalistic at its core.
The singer recounts the memories of writing and creating her record-breaking debut album and shares her feelings as a young woman navigating a specific time in her life.
The Sandman features a plethora of LGBTQ+ characters and is openly expressive about it!
This film’s ambition is betrayed by its lack of substance.
The three themes of lessons learned from HBO Max's Station Eleven are the same as the pandemic: love, regret, and art.
