Penniless at the end of another tourist season, Panos and Jimmy grasp the chance for an easy buck aboard Captain Nico’s tired sailboat. As she navigates the east Aegean in search of sunken treasure, their secret aspirations quickly unravel. Suspicion, greed and the brutality of Greece’s sea border will force a change of course for this motley crew.
I have been a long-time fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe ever since it made its official debut through 2008's absolutely excellent "Iron Man". The run continued, as did my associated fandom of the films, through the utterly EPIC 2019 finale "Avengers: Endgame".
The film reminds us to remember the people who had the courage and dignity that had made the world better, even when the memory was absent.
One of the great achievements of this film is its ability to challenge the mind and to force you to try to process information in a different way than you’re used to.
Remember when there was this amazing comedy titled "National Lampoon's Vacation"? To this day, it is a true classic of the genre and certainly put a new spin on precisely what KINDS of insanity could occur when taking the fam on the road. Then, like with so many successful films, there was the sequel (which for me was even MORE of a classic than the original!). However, the third film emerged....and then a fourth. Suddenly, the luster was gone and disappointment set in.
Lin-Manuel Miranda's Tony-winning musical translates beautifully to the screen.
