'The Mad Woman and the Feminist' Review: MiamisFF
'The Mad Woman and the Feminist': This Spanish entry for the MiamisFF directed by Sandra Gallego handles a difficult conversation in a smart, memorable way.

The tawdry story continues…as women seduce other women, make love to them and leave them for others. In the first scene of Lesbian Triangles 22, Jodi catches Prinzzess breaking some of her house rules. What begins as a good tongue lashing turns into a hot tongue licking as Jodi mounts Prinzzess. Brandi brings some food over to her neighbor Jodi in the next scene, only to find the seductive Bibette answering the door instead. Bibette invites Brandi inside the house and then inside herself. Diamond and Janet tear off each other’s clothes in the movie’s third tryst, while Jodi seduces Sadie, one of Prinzzess’ friends in the movies’ orgasmic finale.

Nope succeeds tremendously in dealing with higher concepts in an engaging and highly entertaining manner without sacrificing theme or personality.
Ben Affleck leads The Way Back, a seemingly cathartic film for him after the actor’s recent bouts with alcoholism and rehab. He plays Jack, a man fighting his own battles who happens upon coaching a boys’ basketball team, the same team he once played for back in high school.
Adam Sandler goes hard as an NBA scout in this male-heavy sports-drama.
All in all, “Event Horizon” is a cinematic misfire, begging to be perfected in the future. While it possesses an array of admirable visuals, the film leaves much to be desired. If only we could see Anderson’s preferred cut, which featured more character development and tortuous imagery. In the meantime, I have a catchphrase for this film: In space no one can hear you snore.
Stylish, slow, and somewhat standoffish, Human Resource examines corporate life from the perspective of a female HR employee as she interviews job candidates while also deciding whether to keep her newly discovered pregnancy.
