The story of Shaza who has a family business selling corpse washing supplies and shrouds. When her father passes away, the business is continued by her mother. When her mother suddenly falls ill, Shaza continues the business part-time as she works at a private office in Kuala Lumpur. Shaza has been given a complete set of corpse washing supplies by her mother on her birthday and her mother wants Shaza to carry the shroud with her wherever she goes.
Trolls: World Tour doesn’t just pay lip service to diversity and inclusiveness. There is no white-washing of the voice actors. From the actual K-Pop group Red Velvet voicing the K-Pop Troll bounty hunters to Keenan Thompson playing the Tiny Diamond baby to Kunal Nayyar’s Guy Diamond, the cast includes more than just token minorities.
This incarnation of Animal Farm is filled with the generic plot points, immature humor, cardboard characters and visual flaws that you have come to know from today’s lesser children’s films.
This inspiring true story falls nothing short of filling the audience with a passion to strive for their wildest dreams.
In addition to the cast being delightfully diverse this time around, the film was just loosely-plotted and action-packed enough to keep a casual fan like myself entertained. While I do agree that the writing of Cole left much to be desired for an original character thrust into a preconceived universe, none of the characters seemed particularly fleshed out in terms of personality; however, I think that's to be expected when you're watching a film literally inspired by a video game.
Endgame not only did not drop the ball, but it delivered for fans so much that it went on to become the highest-grossing movie of all time!
The film's storylines read as allegories for the queer experience and that's a source of solace for LGBTQIA+ fans!
