Miki (Kaoru Mitsumune), Aya (Mika Kumagai), Megumi (Miyako Takayama) and Haruka (Yukiyo Sono) are friends in the same photography club at their university. They often spend their time together at "Tide-Pool" tea shop, run by Miki's parents. One month before they graduate, they girls plan a graduation trip, but Miki is unable to join due to her studies. Overall, 18 Presents feels more like a soap opera than a drama, and I feel bad for saying that since the concept is based off a tragic story (even though it’s loosely). I’m sure other people will find this film emotional for them, but as for me, it’s bland and forgettable.
Unknown Origins promises a cool spin on superheroes and serial killers, but ultimately delivers cheap comedy.
