Remember (or imagine) the cycle of initiation going on in the bedroom of a punk kid in the nineties, the one who giggled at Unfun. The one who got serious, and felt like the king of Chesterfield every time he listened to Bivouac, and who entered 24 Hour Revenge Therapy with the confidence of somebody entering a friend’s house. He was the one whose little underground heart broke when Dear You moved towards mainstream, although later he understood that, in order to grow, sometimes you have to look ahead and leave that bedroom that you know inside out. You can open your eyes now. Here you are again, Jawbreaker and you face to face again after such a long time. The t-shirts are even more worn out. The songs - Parabola, Boxcar, Indictment…- are as explosive and vital as they were twenty five years ago, when they raised the emotional fortress of a whole generation.
After the untimely death of his brother by way of an ambush in Kandahar, Afghanistan, the protagonist, ‘81’(Alan Ritchson) unsuccessfully makes several attempts to become an Army Ranger. On his last mission to complete the Ranger selection process he and his squad encounter an otherworldly ‘soldier’.
The film reminds us to remember the people who had the courage and dignity that had made the world better, even when the memory was absent.
'Bodies Bodies Bodies', the latest from indie powerhouse studio A24, is a great time. Full of dark comedy laughs, great performances, and genuine scares, it's a perfect addition to modern slasher classics.
Eternals is an interesting concept and unique visuals, but slow pacing and rushed character development suggests it should have been a mini-series.

Rather than interviewing those that knew Bowie, the standard convention for biographical portraits, director Brett Morgen mostly lets the artist’s images, performances, videos, and words speak to capture the essence of the artist. Bowie was more than just a pop star. He painted, sculpted, acted in films, and was a thoughtful and articulate person who gave sincere answers to even the most shallow interview questions.
The repeated actions, the blood on the petals, the rustling under the floor…An ambient short horror film takes us into another realm.
